We’re still working hard in the studio to deliver a spectacular film this fall, and in the meantime we’re pulling screengrabs of the footage to bring you “Frame grab Friday,” where we offer you images pulled directly from our new movie! This week we’ve got a quick look at James Heim’s massive AK air and we check in with Bobby Brown and Alex Schlopy in Ouray, CO. Check back every Friday for new sneak peeks of all your favorite athletes!
Simplicity. This is an element often forgotten in ski resort development today. While on a tour of Southwestern Colorado, Bobby Brown and Alex Schlopy spent an afternoon riding Ouray’s public—and free—rope tow right in the middle of town. No one around, just two of the world’s best, lapping a slushy and beat-up slope with a mangy little-kid kicker, having the time of their lives.
The low snows of 2015 played with skiers’ minds in a lot of ways. James Heim is accustomed to sending it. But because of the dismal season back home in Whistler, when he arrived in Haines, Alaska, in late March, he hadn’t hit anything bigger than a 20’ cliff all year. So when he promptly stepped up and sent this bad boy which required a mandatory stomp atop a huge peak, the smile at the bottom had even a little more behind it.
