OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
The hunt for snow has certainly been a challenge this winter, unless of course you live in the northeastern US or Japan. For much of North America and other major ski destinations, however, it has been a heartbreaking season. Several resorts either hit seasonal lows for snowfall or even closed early due to lack of snow.
Now we want to see how you and your resort were affected this winter. We’re looking for visuals to illustrate the difficulties that skiers nationwide encountered this season. Tell your story with pictures and video to show us how your local mountain fared in 2015. We’re not necessarily looking for action shots or even interviews – we’re primarily interested in seeing ski areas where there were closed chairlifts, mud puddles, patches of grass, and similar themes. And of course, we’d like to know where you were shooting and the approximate date when the photo / video was captured. All entries will be considered for use in an upcoming MSP project, and we’ll contact the contributors with the most applicable submissions to provide more information. Selected contributors will be properly credited, of course!
Please submit your high-resolution photos and video (1920×1080 preferred in 16:9 aspect ratio) to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “MY SKI AREA.” If your photos or video files are too large for email, we recommend using www.wetransfer.com (free file transfer service) to send them to the same email address. We’re ready to see what your winter was like, so start submitting!
